Conures live to over 20 years and require alot of attention. They will need a quality diet consisting of pellets, safe fresh fruit and veg, and a small amout of seed/treats.
Conures are active and intelligent birds that require a lot of stimulation and attention. They need a variety of toys on rotation for shredding, foraging and enrichment.
They also need various natural wood perches which they can shred. Dowel perches must be avoided as they cause pressure sores and foot problems for parrots.
They will need a large cage aswell as plenty of time outside the cage to explore, spread their wings and bond with their humans.
Conures are easily trainable and can make great companions. They can even learn tricks with good training and speak some words.
They can get very loud at times aswell so this must be taken into consideration if youre looking to buy a feathered friend.
