African Grey (Congo) hand reared babies.

These beautiful hand raised baby greys are of very high quality. The parents were born at the Priam Psittaculture breeding and research facility in the ACT, who are globally known for their exceptional birds and research.

African greys are full of personality and are one of the most intelligent and best talkers among pet parrots, capable of amassing a huge vocabulary. However, they are not a parrot for a beginner or someone with no time as their intelligence requires much attention and enrichment to keep them from boredom. In the wrong hands this can all lead to behavioural issues. This is why we will be only selling to the right person with the appropriate home environment.

African greys are complex parrots, highly sensitive and very demanding, but also charming and brilliant. They are a lifetime commitment as they can live up to 60 years of age in captivity.

The 4 hatchlings were left in the nest with the hen for the first 4 weeks before being taken to hand raise as companion pets. This insures a very healthy start.

The chicks are currently 9 weeks of age and will be well adjusted, weaned and available to find a loving forever home .
