Calm down!
To summarise, the general consensus is that the risk to aviary birds is minimal. As is always the case, aviculturists, bird breeders and bird keepers should ensure sound quarantine and cleanliness procedures are in place and followed. Patrons residing in affected areas of NSW, ACT and Victoria should not attend events until the order in their area is lifted, otherwise continue as normal.
In general, aviary birds are not exposed to waterfowl droppings, are not kept intensively, and the large majority are a good distance from chicken farms,
so we can all calm down!
